The residents of the Palmyra Community Library District will vote on an increase to the annual library tax. The Board of Trustees is asking residents to consider an increase of $21,287, which would bring the tax levy to $386,500 from the current $365,213 amount. Information about the budget vote will be available on the library’s website in June. Join us for a budget information meeting to learn more and ask questions—an afternoon session will be held on Wednesday, September 23 at 1pm with an additional evening session on Thursday, September 24 at 6:30pm for your convenience.

The vote is scheduled for Tuesday, Ocotber 13 from 12 – 9 pm at the library.

In addition, residents will elect 3 people to trustee positions for a four-year term beginning   November 1 , 2026. To be eligible for election, a candidates must submit a petition signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the Palmyra Community Library district by 5 p.m. on   Friday, September 4   at 5 p.m. Petitions will be available at the library on Monday, July 6 2026.
